Photowalk in Karlín, Prague - January 2026
Date: 25. 1. 2026
Place: Karlín, Prague
Featured artist: Insan Habib

We started the year with a photowalk in Karlín, a district in Prague known for its mix of old industrial buildings and modern architecture. The weather was typical for January, cold and overcast, which created a unique atmosphere for photography. We had a great turnout with many familiar faces. We walked around the area, from Křížikova to Invalidovna and back, ending our walk in Žižkov as we crossed the Žižkovský tunnel connecting the two districts.
Below you can see a few photos taken by the participants during the photowalk. We would like to highlight the Insan’s monochrome photos, that beautifully capture the mood of the day.

Kevin V. Ton exhibition
It was quite cold outside, so we took a short break at the ‘Do Oblak Cafe’, where we discovered by chance exhibited photos by Kevin V. Ton, known for his documentary and humanist photography. These beautiful photos captured our attention, and we recommend checking out his work if you haven’t already. Enjoying the photos with a warm drink was a lovely experience. Most of us chose to shoot in black and white that day, and seeing Kevin’s photos was a great inspiration for us to start seeing the world in monochrome.
